Membership is open to all high school students, grades 9 through 12, who meet the National High School Rodeo Association's grade and conduct qualifications. Region VIII High School and Junior High rodeos are generally held on the second Saturday of each month, September through February. Members must have passing grades in 70% of subjects. Junior High Division students compete in a variety of events, including Barrel Racing, Pole Bending, Goat Tying, Breakaway Roping, Tie-Down Roping, Chute Dogging, Team Roping, Ribbon Roping, and Junior Bull Riding, Bareback Steer Riding and Saddle Bronc Steer Riding.
