St.Kitts and Nevis Receives Financial Contribution from Republic of China on Taiwan

The  Republic of China in Taiwan has donated US$1.5 million to the Government of St. Kitts and Nevis.

His Excellency Ambassador Michael Chau-Horng Lin, Resident Ambassador of the Republic of China on Taiwan handed over the cheque to Prime Minister Dr. Terrance Drew, during a brief ceremony yesterday, April 20.

The donation highlights the strong bilateral relations between the two countries. It is also indicative of Taiwan’s commitment to providing yearly financial contributions to human development, through various projects.

“I accept this generous donation with great satisfaction and wish for you to convey to the Government of the Republic of China (Taiwan) the appreciation and the interest in continuing to unite efforts between both countries so as to further strengthen the relations of cooperation and friendship,” Prime Minister Drew stated while receiving the financial contribution.

The donation will assist with community enhancement projects, Special Olympics, the Senior’s Day Care, and the provision of financial support for athletic projects, within the Federation of Saint Kitts and Nevis.
