Young Man Escapes Early Morning Barrage Of Bullets; Sustains Arm Injury

Twenty-eight-year old Dave Henry, of Fiennes Avenue, Basseterre, escaped a barrage of bullets with just a gunshot wound to his left arm, earlier this morning, August 19. The incident occurred in the Fortlands area of Basseterre.

More than fifteen (15) shots were fired at Henry, at around 5: 23 a.m., according to credible sources.

A Police report states that multiple armed assailant attacked the victim. Henry, while fleeing for his life, crashed his vehicle and sustained the gunshot wound to his arm.

“He sought assistance at the Special Services Unit (SSU) base of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force (RSCNPF) in Fortlands, and was transported to the Joseph N. France General Hospital by the officers. He is currently warded for treatment of his injuries,” the Police report revealed.

Investigations into this latest shooting incident are ongoing.

Law enforcement agencies are working concertedly to curb an apparent upsurge in gun-related crimes in St. Kitts and Nevis.
