Although police investigations are ongoing, authorities have indicated that they do not suspect foul play had a hand in the death of the man found on Wednesday at Warner Park.
Hilton Nolan, 69, was discovered unresponsive at the national stadium a day ago.
The Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force (RSCNPF), whose headquarters are located opposite the park, responded quickly to the call.
Medical intervention was also sought but it was too late as Nolan, a Conaree resident, was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to the RSCNPF, the elderly man’s body bore no visible signs of injury or trauma.
Due to the unusual circumstances surrounding his death, an autopsy has been ordered to determine the exact cause of his death.
Nolan’s body was found slumped on the floor of a spectator stand at Warner Park Stadium.
