St. Kitts and Nevis’ Cabinet of Ministers has given its approval for the development of a website and a survey and price tracking application for the Department of Consumer Affairs. The website and application are both expected to enhance the department’s operations.
The post-Cabinet press briefing explained the importance of the department expanding its reach.
“This initiative aims to create a modernised web portal and mobile app for digitising data collection processes and improving information dissemination to protect consumers’ life, health, and safety,” said this week’s post-Cabinet report.
“The proposed Survey and Price Tracking Application will address challenges in collecting, managing, and analysing product pricing data. This solution will offer surveyors and administrators an integrated platform with advanced analytics and real-time insights to enhance decision-making and operational efficiency,” the report continued.
In addition to the website and mobile app, an “an intuitive Admin Panel” will also be implemented by the Department of Consumer Affairs.
“According to the cabinet report, “The website will provide citizens with essential information on consumer rights, protection, and price monitoring, while the Admin Panel will enable administrators to manage content, complaints, announcements, and other critical aspects efficiently.”
