Security forces host annual Crime Intervention Summer Soccer Camp

The annual Crime Intervention Summer Soccer Camp, a cornerstone initiative for development, peace, and crime prevention, commenced on 15th July and will continue until 26th July.

The camp is spearheaded by the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force in collaboration with the St. Kitts and Nevis Defence Force and utilises sport as a pivotal activity to engage youth during the summer.

The camp benefits from partnerships with the Ministry of Sport, the Ministry of National Security and numerous local stakeholders. Their collective efforts ensure that young people between the ages of 7 and 17 have access to a constructive environment in which they can learn, play soccer, and gain valuable life lessons.

This annual initiative is designed to educate participants about making positive life choices and avoiding criminal activity. The camp also ensures that fun and learning go hand in hand.

A competent team of professional coaches from England and the United States provides top notch instruction that emphasises the key values of sport such as teamwork, discipline, and respect.
