SVG: Police charge 21 year old Barrouallie man with murder

The Royal St Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force (RSVGPF) has arrested and charged 21-year-old Jevonte John, a bus conductor from Barrouallie, in connection with the murder of 42-year-old contractor Jeffon Junior Norton, also from Barrouallie.

A statement from the RSVGPF said, “Preliminary investigations suggest that the incident occurred in Barrouallie on Friday, October 11, 2024, during which Norton sustained multiple stab wounds. He was immediately rushed to the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital (MCMH), where he was later pronounced dead.”

John appeared in the Serious Offences Court on Monday.

“Due to the indictable nature of the offense, he was not required to enter a plea,” a police statement further indicated.

The court has adjourned the case as investigations continue.

The RSVGPF is urging anyone with information related to the incident to come forward to assist with the investigations.
