If the extreme heat has been bothering you recently, then you should note that we’re in for some mixed weather patterns– including some rain in the coming days.
According to the Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service (TTMS) in its five-day weather outlook, come tomorrow, Tuesday, we are likely to experience a mostly fair and sunny day with the chance for a few partly cloudy periods producing brief showers, mainly during the late morning to early afternoon.
On Wednesday, we can expect a similar pattern.
On Thursday, T&T will initially be mostly fair and sunny with a few brief showers in some areas and a low to medium chance for an isolated heavy shower, mainly over western Trinidad, during the late morning to early afternoon.
The TTMS says from late morning, over the eastern and south-eastern offshore areas, there is expected to be a build-up of cloudiness, with light to moderate showers and a medium chance for an isolated heavy shower or thunderstorm.
From pre-dawn on Friday, there is expected to be a build-up of cloudiness, with showers and a few isolated heavy showers or thunderstorms over the eastern and south-eastern offshore areas of Trinidad and Tobago.
The TTMS says that as the morning progresses, there is a high chance for thunderstorm activity to develop close to southeast Tobago and over Trinidad. By mid-afternoon, there is expected to be an abatement in the weather tending to fairer conditions.
On Saturday, Trinidad and Tobago is likely to see mixed conditions with a few showers interrupting fair conditions in some areas.
𝐒𝐞𝐚𝐬: The seas in the open waters to the near east and northeast of Trinidad and Tobago are expected to be mostly between 1.5 metres to 2 metres for this outlook period.
𝐖𝐢𝐧𝐝: The near surface to the mid-level wind is expected to remain normal for most of this outlook period and at times, can become breezy. In the event of any heavy shower or thunderstorm development, there is likely to be an increase in windy to gusty conditions in the vicinity.
𝐃𝐮𝐬𝐭: The atmospheric concentration of Saharan dust during this outlook period is expected to be mostly mild but with brief fluctuations to mild to moderate at times.
