The members of the House of Assembly recently installed a new Deputy Clerk, in the person of 19-year-old Mauriel knight.
Knight was installed during a sitting held on February 8th, 2023, presided over by Hon. Lanien Blanchette, Speaker of the National Assembly.
In her congratulatory remarks, Hon. Blanchette noted that Knight comes with a wealth of knowledge and “is uniquely poised to be an asset to the National Assembly.”
Knight, who currently serves as the President of the St. Kitts National Youth Parliament Association, is the youngest person to hold the position.
He is a recipient of the 25 Most Remarkable Teens Award in the category of leadership and has served in several youth groups and organizations including the Student Council at Basseterre High School.
