The annual athletic zonal championship will be hosted this year through a partnership with the Department of Sports and Giant Malt.
The competition, which will take place on February 18th, 2023, at the Kim Collins Stadium, will give local athletes an opportunity to further improve and develop in their various disciplines.
Timothy Morton, Athletics Coordinator at the Department of Sports shared that over the last three years, the department has been revamping the competition into four zones, instead of three.
“This Giant Malt Combined Zonal Championship allows for athletes to get maximum preparation, in track events only, ahead of other primary school championships,” Morton expressed.
