Minister Drew has declared that all workers registered with Social Security,
including pensioners, will receive a special Independence 40 thank you
payment of EC $1000.00.
The announcement comes as anticipation builds for tomorrow’s (September
19th) Independence Day celebrations under the theme “Growing Sustainably,
Developing Maturely, Building Resiliency: Independence 40.”
According to Dr. Drew, this generous gesture serves as a token of
appreciation. The Independence 40 thank you payment will serve as a
reminder of the government’s appreciation for their invaluable service to the
nation.
“As a token of our appreciation Madame Speaker, this administration has
decided that for all of our workers who are registered with Social Security….
We now are saying to them thank you and we will deposit EC $1000.00…..”,
Dr. Drew said.
The Independence Day celebrations tomorrow, held under the theme
