Basseterre, St. Kitts (SKNSOURCE): In a thrilling match that kept spectators on the edge of their seats, the S L Horsford’s St. Paul’s Football Team clashed with the RAMS Village Superstars in the opening game of the SKNFA SuperSix finals on Saturday (September 23rd).
Although the game ended in a tie with both teams securing one goal each, St. Paul’s emerged victorious in a nail-biting penalty shootout, ultimately winning with a final score of 4-3.
As the second game approaches (September 26th), the stakes are raised even higher, with St. Paul’s hoping to secure yet another win and cement their place as the SuperSix champions, while the Village Superstars are determined to win and force a decisive third game.
Mr. Donald Freeman, President of the SLH St. Paul’s Football Club said, “The intention tonight is to go out, stay positive, focus and bring it home for our fans and the lovely village of St. Paul’s and all who support us.”

The clash between St. Paul’s and the Village Superstars was nothing short of an intense battle from start to finish. Both teams exhibited exceptional skill and determination throughout the match, captivating the spectators with their on-field prowess. The game was evenly matched, with both teams struggling to establish dominance and break the deadlock.
After a hard-fought ninety minutes plus some 20 minutes of extra time, the teams remained level with a 1-1 draw.
Hence, the outcome of the game was determined by a nerve-wracking penalty shootout. The tension was palpable as each team took turns taking penalties, hoping to gain the upper hand.
In the end, St. Paul’s emerged victorious with a final score of 4-3.
