Basseterre, St. Kitts (SKNSOURCE) — The Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis has recorded murder number 24 for the year 2023.
According to a news release from local police, an investigation into “an alleged altercation that led to the death of a male on November 1, 2023” has begun. The incident happened between 2:30 and 3 p.m. in Salt Pond Alley, McKnight, St. Kitts.
When police arrived on the scene, they discovered a lifeless body with “visible chop wounds” around the body, which was subsequently identified as Japheth Liburd, 24, of Central WestBourne Street.
The Crime Scene Unit of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force processed the scene and collected items of evidential value.
