Prime Minister Dr. Terrance Drew has sent his congratulations to India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his recent reelection.
This is Prime Minister Modi’s third time leading his Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to election victory.
“I extend my warmest congratulations to you on your remarkable achievement of being elected for a third term as Prime Minister of the Republic of India. May your leadership guide India with wisdom, compassion, and foresight, propelling the nation towards ever greater heights of success and prosperity” Prime Minister Drew said.
Dr. Drew also commended BJP for securing the majority of the seats in the country’s parliament.
“The Government of Saint Kitts and Nevis has enjoyed long-standing diplomatic relations with the Government of the Republic of India, which have been significantly bolstered by India’s promising engagement with CARICOM,” said a government statement following word of Prime Minister Modi’s election victory.
Prime Minister Drew emphasised the importance of the diplomatic ties between St. Kitts and Nevis and India which has spanned areas including capacity building, education, diplomacy, agriculture, healthcare and information technology.
