Mikyle Louis and the West Indies Test squad are hoping to rebound strongly in the second Test match after a massive innings and 114 run defeat to hosts England inside of three days.
Louis, who made his debut in the match, is the first player from St. Kitts to make the West Indies Test squad.
West Indies made 121 in their first innings, with Louis top-scoring with 27.
England responded with 371 runs.
The West Indies’ second innings was a reflection of the first and the team slumped for 136, with Gudakesh Motie top-scoring for the West Indies with 31 not out.
Louis mustered 14 in the second innings.
England’s debutant, Gus Atkinson, had a memorable first test as he claimed 7 wickets in the first innings and another 5 in the second.
West Indies captain, Kraigg Brathwaite, admitted that his team’s performance was very disappointing, but he expressed confidence that his team has the capability to bounce back.
The second Test begins on 18th July.
