Kittitian right arm medium-fast bowler, Jeremiah Louis, has been replaced in the West Indies Test squad for the third and final Test against host England at Edgbaston, on 26th July.
According to a statement from Cricket West Indies, Louis suffered a hamstring injury during the second Rothersay Test match a few days earlier.
He will remain with the squad for further treatment, the statement added.
The injury quashes any hope of Louis making his debut in the West Indies versus England series. He was, however, a substitute in one of the Test matches.
During his recovery, Louis has been replaced by Barbadian, Akeem Jordan.
England has an unassailable 2 – 0 lead in the series, but the West Indies are hoping to stave off a series whitewash come Friday.
Jeremiah Louis, the second Kittitian to make the West Indies Test team, is the older brother of West Indies opener, Mikyle Louis, who made history as the first Kittitian to be chosen for the team.
