St. Kitts and Nevis’ 100m athlete, Naquille Harris, concluded his Paris Olympic journey with a commendable sixth place finish in his qualifying heat.
Harris clocked a time of 10.38 seconds, slightly slower than his preliminary round first place finish of 10.33 seconds.
Harris, the reigning national champion, also holds the 60m record for the University of Cincinnati, showcasing his consistent excellence in athletics.
The heat was won by the USA’s Noah Lyles, who finished with a remarkable time of 9.98 seconds.
Harris’ performance at the Paris Olympic Games highlights the continued development and promise of athletics within the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis. His dedication and achievements serve as an inspiration for future athletes from the region.
This follows the earlier performances of his compatriots Zahria Allers-Liburd, who competed in the 100m, and 15-year-old Troy Nisbett who participated in swimming.
Allers-Liburd finished her 100m heat in 7th place with a time of 11.89 seconds after winning her preliminary round race in 11.73 seconds.
Nisbett also demonstrated commendable effort in his swimming event.
