Zahria Allers-Liburd, St. Kitts and Nevis’ lone female athlete at the Paris Olympic Games, concluded her competition on Friday after placing 7th in her 100m heat.
Although Allers-Liburd clocked an impressive time of 11.89 seconds, she unfortunately missed out on advancing to the semifinals.
The top three finishers in each heat automatically move forward to the next round.
Earlier in the day, she had an impressive showing, winning her preliminary round race with a time of 11.73 seconds.
Notably, Allers-Liburd holds the third fastest 100m dash time in the history of the University of South Florida, a testament to her talent and dedication.
Meanwhile, her compatriot, Naquille Harris is set to compete in the preliminary round of the 100m on 3rd August. St. Kitts and Nevis has high hopes for Harris as he takes to the track.
The third athlete representing St. Kitts and Nevis, 15-year-old Troy Nisbett, also concluded his participation, having bowed out of the swimming competition earlier this week.
