The Independence 41 Organising Committee announced earlier today that this year’s Prime Minister’s Independence Lecture Series will take place on 10th, September 2024, at 7:00 PM at the Sir Cecil Jacobs Auditorium at the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank.
The featured speaker has also been revealed: Her Excellency Hadiya C. J. Claxton, an esteemed business executive, attorney, diplomat, lecturer, and public relations strategist.
Her Excellency Claxton is recognised for her exceptional leadership and contributions to various sectors, including international diplomacy, business, and education.
According to a statement from the organising committee, “Her Excellency Hadiya C. J. Claxton is a dynamic leader with a multifaceted career spanning over two decades.
“As a seasoned attorney, she has provided strategic legal counsel to governments and multinational corporations, navigating complex international legal landscapes. Her diplomatic service is marked by her commitment to fostering strong international relations and advocating for global cooperation on key issues such as sustainable development, human rights, and economic resilience.
“In addition to her diplomatic and legal work, Her Excellency Claxton is a prominent business executive who has played a pivotal role in advancing corporate governance and strategic communication in the Caribbean region. Her expertise as a public relations strategist has been instrumental in shaping the public image and communications strategies of various organisations, enhancing their visibility and reputation on the global stage.”
The experienced diplomat is also a dedicated educator who now shares her vast knowledge and experience with current and emerging leaders through her lectures and workshops.
“The Prime Minister’s Independence Lecture Series continues to be a cornerstone of the Independence celebrations, providing a platform for distinguished individuals to share their insights and inspire the nation. This year’s lecture, delivered by Her Excellency Hadiya C. J.
