Prime Minister Hon. Dr. Terrance Drew held a significant meeting with the Ambassador of the United States to St. Kitts and Nevis, His Excellency Roger Nyhus, on October 15, 2024, at his Government Headquarters office. The meeting aimed to further strengthen the longstanding bilateral relationship between the United States and the twin-island federation.
Ambassador Nyhus was accompanied by senior officials from the U.S. Department of State, including Deputy Assistant Secretaries Barbara Feinstein and Mark Lambert. Joining them were U.S. Department of State Officer Alexander Stephenson, Saint Kitts and Nevis Country Officer Gabriel Knight, and Regional China Officer Mark Neighbors.
The high-level discussions reflected both nations’ commitment to fostering continued cooperation in areas such as security, economic development, and regional stability. Prime Minister Drew emphasized the importance of collaboration with the United States as St. Kitts and Nevis advances its development goals and tackles global challenges like climate change and economic resilience.
This meeting marked another step in reinforcing the deep-rooted partnership between St. Kitts and Nevis and the United States, as both countries explore new avenues of mutual benefit.
