In a remarkable display of spelling prowess, Zavier Agard from Beach Allen Primary School claimed first place in the Rotary Club of Liamuiga Primary School Spelling Bee, held on 24th October at the Sir Cecil Jacobs Auditorium. Agard’s dedication and talent shone through each round, ultimately earning him the champion’s title and an impressive cheque for EC$1,000.
Taking second place was Yanis Bowin from SKI Academy, while third place was shared between Zydane Thompson from ICCS and Kizarah Evans from Tyrell Williams Primary School. Each finalist demonstrated exceptional skill and focus, navigating challenging words with poise and accuracy.
The unplaced participants were also recognised for their hard work and participation. The top ten students were presented with gift certificates from the TDC Group of Companies while several other corporate sponsors provided the youngsters with other prizes including school supplies.
The Rotary Club of Liamuiga Primary School Spelling Bee serves as an inspiring platform, encouraging young minds to develop their language skills and fostering a spirit of friendly competition.
