In a significant boost to regional travel, the St. Kitts Tourism Authority has announced Cape Air’s launch of a new flight service linking St. Kitts, Nevis, and St. Thomas in the U.S. Virgin Islands. Beginning on 7th December, 2024, the service will operate four times weekly on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, providing travelers with seamless and timely air lift options across these destinations.
The new service schedule offers a convenient morning flight from Nevis to St. Kitts, departing at 8:30 a.m. and arriving at 8:40 a.m., with an evening return at 6:35 p.m. from St. Kitts to Nevis. Passengers can also travel from St. Kitts to St. Thomas with a 9:40 a.m. departure, arriving at 10:45 a.m. The return flight departs St. Thomas at 4:30 p.m. and arrives in St. Kitts at 5:35 p.m.
On Thursday, 31st October, 2024, Tourism Minister Marsha Henderson expressed her enthusiasm for Cape Air’s new service and highlighted the government’s commitment to enhancing inter-island connectivity as a cornerstone of its tourism strategy.
“We are delighted to welcome Cape Air to St. Kitts as they expand their network to include these key destinations. This new service will greatly enhance inter-island connectivity, making travel more accessible for our residents and tourists alike,” said Minister Henderson.
Minister Henderson further noted the positive impact Cape Air’s presence will have on St. Kitts’ tourism sector, emphasising the government’s dedication to regional partnerships that enhance St. Kitts’ appeal.
“As we continue to focus on strategic initiatives that support our tourism industry, Cape Air’s arrival is a positive step in making St. Kitts a more attractive destination in the region. We look forward to a fruitful partnership that will further highlight the beauty and vibrancy of our islands,” she said.
This Cape Air expansion not only simplifies regional travel but also underscores the Dr. Terrance Drew-led government’s ongoing efforts to strengthen cultural and economic ties within the Caribbean, further enhancing the accessibility and appeal of St. Kitts and Nevis as a prime tourism hub in the region.
