A 33 year-old man charged with eight counts of abetment to importation of dangerous drugs appeared in court on Monday in The Bahamas.
Hugh Gray Jr. went before Senior Magistrate Raquel Whyms where he was not required to enter a plea and was remanded to The Bahamas Department of Corrections.
His case was adjourned to April 17, 2025.
The charges are related to a major drug seizure following a plane crash on Acklins Island in December 2024.
The aircraft reportedly contained 762 kilograms (1,982 pounds) of cocaine valued at $15,240,000 and 25 pounds of hydroponic marijuana worth $50,000.
