Prime Minister Dr. Terrance Drew is heading a delegation from St. Kitts and Nevis to St. Martin for the 76th Meeting of the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) Authority. This crucial gathering, chaired by St. Lucia’s Prime Minister Philip J. Pierre, will address key regional priorities, including economic growth, climate resilience, security, and sustainable development.

Joining Prime Minister Drew on this diplomatic mission are his wife, Diani Prince-Drew; Naeemah Hazelle, Permanent Secretary in the Prime Minister’s Office; Ambassador Larry Vaughan; Javon Liburd, Press Secretary; and Bjorn Hazel, Senior Foreign Services Officer. The delegation aims to enhance regional cooperation, foster stronger partnerships in trade and healthcare, and advance initiatives that align with St. Kitts and Nevis’ Sustainable Island State Agenda.

Beyond formal discussions, Prime Minister Drew and his team will also engage with Kittitians and Nevisians residing in Saint Martin. These diaspora meetings will provide a platform for citizens to voice their concerns, gain insights into national developments, and explore collaborative opportunities that can benefit both the Federation and its overseas communities.

The OECS, established under the Treaty of Basseterre in 1981, remains instrumental in strengthening regional unity and governance. St. Kitts and Nevis continues to uphold the principles of the OECS and remains committed to fostering economic growth and stability within the Eastern Caribbean
