The St. Kitts-Nevis Labour Party (SKNLP) has officially launched the 2025 Ms. Labour Queen ambassadors, spotlighting a dynamic group of young women who will represent their respective constituencies in this year’s pageant. Held under the theme Progress with Purpose, the highly anticipated competition is set for Saturday, 3rd May, at Carnival Village and aligns with the SKNLP’s broader national development vision of Powering Progress.
Unveiled during a vibrant launch ceremony on 23rd April, 2025, the ambassadors were met with applause and community pride. These contestants are not only pageant hopefuls but also emerging voices of empowerment, civic responsibility, and youthful leadership in the Federation.
The 2025 Ms. Labour Queen contestants are:
- Constituency #1 – Ms. Shakaylia “Star” Tatem
- Constituency #2 – Ms. Junique Benjamin
- Constituency #3 – Ms. Jahmierra Thompson
- Constituency #4 – Ms. Leana Walters
- Constituency #5 – Ms. Aaliyah Buchanan
- Constituency #6 – Ms. Kayla Benjamin
- Constituency #8 – Ms. A’Riannha Mitchum
Each delegate brings a unique story, a passion for social change, and a commitment to advancing the ideals of the Labour movement. From community outreach to educational initiatives, these young women are poised to serve as role models for their peers, carrying forward the message that progress must be intentional and people-centred.
“The theme Progress with Purpose captures more than just a slogan—it represents the heartbeat of this generation,” said a party spokesperson at the launch. “These young ambassadors are walking examples of what the Labour Party stands for: inclusion, opportunity, and vision.”
With the Ms. Labour Queen pageant being a long-standing tradition of the SKNLP, this year’s event promises to be more than a display of beauty—it is a celebration of heritage, advocacy, and community engagement.
The public is encouraged to follow the contestants’ journeys leading up to the big night and support their respective constituency queens as they prepare to grace the stage.
