Labour Party Powers Ahead with Pre-Labour Day Momentum Across the Federation

SKNLP Press Release

As the nation prepares to celebrate Labour Day 2025, the St. Kitts-Nevis Labour Party (SKNLP) has been energising supporters across the Federation with a series of spirited public meetings and grassroots engagements. At the heart of the Labour Party’s Labour Day 2025 activities is a firm commitment to championing workers, empowering communities, and accelerating national progress.

Over the weekend the heart of Labour beat strong in Constituency 6, the proud home of the esteemed Rt. Hon. Dr. Denzil Douglas. The event drew an enthusiastic crowd as the Party’s A-Team, led by Prime Minister and Party Leader, Dr. Terrance Drew, delivered powerful messages of unity, achievement, and the continued drive to power progress for all.

“Our movement is more alive and determined than ever,” declared Prime Minister Dr. Drew. “We are not just talking about change—we are delivering real progress for every citizen and resident who calls this blessed Federation home.”

National Secretary of the SKNLP, Meshach Alford, added, “The energy we are seeing across constituencies is truly inspiring. Labour is more than a party; it is a movement rooted in service, resilience, and a bold vision for a brighter future.”

That momentum will again be on full display again today, Tuesday, 29th April, as the SKNLP leads a National Walkthrough in Constituency 5, starting at 5:30PM in Sandy Point. The event will begin at the Fig Tree Housing Project where the Labour Party’s A-Team—led by Ambassador Kenny Douglas, the Party’s caretaker for the constituency—will engage with residents and community members, reinforcing the Party’s commitment to grassroots involvement and people-first policies.

The next major event is a public meeting scheduled for Wednesday, 1st May, 2025, in St. Peter’s—home to Prime Minister Dr. Terrance Drew and the proud Constituency 8 community. The SKNLP invites all citizens, residents, and friends to rally once again as they reaffirm their commitment to national development and the rights and wellbeing of workers across the Federation.
