Old Road Man Charged After Firearm, Ammunition and Cannabis Seized in Police Operation

A multi-agency security operation in Old Road has led to the arrest and formal charging of Thorne Flemming for possession of a firearm, ammunition, and cannabis with intent to supply. The firearm and cannabis seizure in Old Road occurred during the execution of a search warrant on April 27th, 2025.

The search was carried out by officers from the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force’s (RSCNPF) Anti-Narcotics Unit and Special Services Unit, supported by members of the Joint Security Operations Tactical Team (JSOTT), soldiers from the St. Kitts-Nevis Defence Force (SKNDF), and personnel from the St. Kitts-Nevis Customs and Excise Department K-9 Unit.

During the operation, law enforcement recovered a Beretta 9mm pistol with fourteen matching rounds of ammunition and a substantial quantity of cannabis plants. Mr. Flemming reportedly attempted to flee but was promptly apprehended by officers on the scene.

The Crime Scene Unit processed the area and secured the firearm, ammunition, cannabis, and other items deemed to hold evidential value. Mr. Flemming was subsequently charged on April 29th at the Cayon Police Station.

On April 30th, 2025, he was remanded to His Majesty’s Prison pending further legal proceedings.

The RSCNPF reiterated its commitment to the removal of illegal firearms and narcotics from communities, crediting the successful operation to joint collaboration among national security agencies.
