The Citizen Security Secretariat is preparing to host a series of Better Opportunity Fairs across St. Kitts and Nevis, designed to connect residents with resources that foster personal advancement and community development.
These events form part of the government’s ongoing campaign to address crime and violence through a public health lens.
The fairs will feature organisations, businesses, and government agencies offering information and services in areas such as economic empowerment, education, mental health support, and vocational training. By making these opportunities accessible to the public, the initiative aims to tackle the root causes of crime and support positive community transformation.
The first fair, for Division A, will be held on Thursday, 30th May, 2025, from 1:00pm to 6:00pm, at Bank Street in Basseterre.
Three additional fairs are scheduled as follows:
- Division B – Fair #2a: Saturday, 21st June, 2025, from 10:00am to 4:00pm
- Division B – Fair #2b: Saturday, 26th July, 2025, from 10:00am to 4:00pm
- Division C – Fair #3: Saturday, 23rd August, 2025, from 10:00am to 4:00pm
The locations for the Division B and Division C fairs will be announced at a later date.
Organisations interested in participating as vendors are asked to confirm their involvement by Thursday, 23rd May, 2025. To register or obtain more information, contact the Citizen Security Secretariat via email at citizensecurity@gov.kn or by phone at 467-4272 or 662-7316.
The Better Opportunity Fairs reflect the government’s commitment to building stronger, safer communities through opportunity-driven engagement and proactive support.
