St. Kitts-Nevis Labour Party holds its 93rd National Conference on Sunday

The St. Kitts-Nevis Labour Party (SKNLP) holds it 93rd Anniversary Conference on Sunday, May 18, 2025 with the Business Session starting at 9:00am.

The Public Session which will be attended by invited guests and the general public will begin at 3:00pm.

Both the Business and Public Sessions will be held at Manhattan Gardens in Camps.

CEO of the SKNLP Mesach Alford said the venue is Manhattan Gardens at Camps and the conference will be held under the theme: “Powering Progress; Championing Workers.”

The agenda for the Business Session includes the Annual Report from the National Executive of the Party; the Treasurer’s and Auditor’s Reports; presentation and discussion of resolutions from the SKNLP Executive, the eight Branches of the Party, Young Labour and Labour Women.

This year is an election year and all executive positions will become vacant and elections held to fill each post that is contested.

The guest speaker for the public session in the afternoon is the Hon. Alva R. Baptiste, Minister for External Affairs, International Trade, Civil Aviation, and Diaspora Affairs in the Government of St. Lucia.

Awards and gifts will also be presented to the reigning Miss Labour 2025, her runners-up and contestants, and the traditional honouring of Mothers from the 8 constituencies on St. Kitts.

The Keynote address to the delegates and invited guests will be delivered by the Political Leader of the St. Kitts-Nevis Labour Party, Prime Minister the Hon. Dr. Terrance M. Drew.

Delegates to the business session will come from the 8 Constituencies, Young Labour, Labour Women and the St. Kitts Nevis Trades and Labour Union.

The Public Session will also see a number of Invited Guests, party supporters and members of the public in attendance.
