
Officers from the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) have arrested and formally charged 27-year-old Andrew Herbert of Fiennes Avenue, McKnight, for his alleged involvement in a daylight robbery at the Panda Chinese Supermarket.
The incident, which occurred on Wednesday, 4th June, around 2:30 p.m., prompted an immediate police investigation. According to official reports, a warrant was secured for Herbert’s arrest following a detailed inquiry by law enforcement.
Herbert has been charged with the offence of robbery and is currently in police custody as investigations continue. Authorities have not yet disclosed whether additional suspects are being pursued in connection with the case.
The robbery at the Panda Chinese Supermarket, located on Market Street in Basseterre, marks one of several recent incidents that have heightened concern over retail security in the capital.
