Several Injured in Multi-Vehicle Collision Near Monkey Farm

A serious multi-vehicle collision along the Island Main Road at Bourryeaux, near the Monkey Farm, left several individuals injured on the morning of 2nd July, 2025. The incident, which occurred between 7:30 a.m. and 8:00 a.m., involved a motor omnibus (H577) and two motor cars (PA1115 and PA4086), and has prompted an active investigation by authorities.

According to preliminary findings from the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force, the accident unfolded as motor omnibus H577 was travelling in the direction of the Monkey Farm, following closely behind motor car PA1115. As PA1115 came to a stop behind another passenger bus, H577 attempted to overtake both vehicles.

During this overtaking manoeuvre, H577 collided head-on with oncoming vehicle PA4086. The force of the impact also caused the omnibus to strike PA1115. In a further tragic development, PA4086 veered off the roadway upon impact, striking a Parks and Beaches worker who had been in the immediate vicinity.

Emergency response teams from the St. Kitts and Nevis Fire and Rescue Services were dispatched swiftly to the scene. Firefighters extricated the trapped driver of PA4086, who, along with four passengers from H577, was rushed to the Joseph N. France General Hospital for urgent medical treatment.

The Parks and Beaches worker, injured in the incident, was transported to the Mary Charles Hospital.

All three vehicles involved sustained considerable damage. As of 3rd July, the driver of PA4086 remains hospitalised, with no further updates yet on their condition.

The police have confirmed that investigations are still ongoing to determine the full circumstances surrounding the collision.
