The National Cost-of-Living Task Force has released the second instalment of its “Smart Spend SKN” public awareness series—a compelling new infographic titled “Every Cent Counts”, designed to help citizens visualise how small savings can make a big difference in managing everyday expenses.

Unveiled on Monday, the infographic, developed in collaboration with the Consumer Affairs Department, offers a practical and relatable breakdown of how routine savings—from grocery budgeting to reduced utility use—can be redirected toward essential household priorities such as school books, cooking gas, medical needs, and transport.

“Every cent saved is a cent empowered for your family’s unique needs,” said Task Force Chair Dr. Marcus Natta. “We’re not here to judge priorities—we’re showing how minor switches create major flexibility in tight budgets.”

The initiative reflects the Task Force’s broader mandate to support households through education and transparency, especially amid ongoing global inflation and supply chain disruptions that continue to affect basic goods and services in St. Kitts and Nevis.

Unlike traditional financial advice that often imposes rigid frameworks, the “Smart Spend SKN” series encourages residents to make savings work for their own goals and realities.
