The Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force (RSCNPF) has charged 30-year-old Nicholas Johnson, of Caricom Village, New Road, St. Kitts, with eight offences linked to the Pond’s Pasture shooting on 30th July 2025, in which police officer Talbert Warner was injured.
Charged on 14th August at the Basseterre Police Station, Johnson’s charges include attempted murder, possession of a firearm and ammunition, possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life, discharging a firearm in a public place, and three counts of shooting with intent.

This marks the second arrest connected to the case. Earlier, on 8th August, Kareem Jeffers of Pond’s Pasture was charged in relation to the same incident as the first suspect brought before the courts.
Police continue to piece together the events of 30 July when Officer Warner sustained injuries in the line of duty. The proceedings against Johnson bring the total number of suspects charged in the Pond’s Pasture shooting to two. The RSCNPF investigation remains ongoing as more details emerge.
