The Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force has reported four major operations in recent days—charging a Nevis man after a cannabis discovery, seizing ammunition during island-wide searches, and pursuing investigations into a daring supermarket robbery.

On 27th August, police executed a warrant at the Gingerland home of Carl Jones of Hard Times, discovering eight bags of compressed substance suspected to be cannabis. Arrested and charged the following day at Cotton Ground Police Station, Jones faces Possession of Cannabis with Intent to Supply.
Meanwhile, ammunition has also been confiscated during searches on both islands. On 28th August, officers recovered a Glock magazine holding three 9mm rounds in an abandoned building at St. Paul’s, St. Kitts. Two days later, 18 rounds of .38 Special and two 20-gauge shotgun shells were found hidden under boards in a shed on Beach Road, Nevis. The Crime Scene Unit processed both scenes, though no arrests have been made in connection to these finds.
Separately, on 31st August, a masked man armed with a firearm entered the Hong Yun Supermarket in Newtown between 12:00 pm and 12:30 pm, demanding money from the proprietor before fleeing with a sum of cash. No injuries were reported, and crime scene evidence is being processed as investigations continue.
In all three cases, the RSCNPF has emphasised the importance of community cooperation and is urging the public to contact the nearest police station—or anonymously via the Crime Stoppers Hotline at 707—with any information that may assist ongoing investigations.
