St. Kitts and Nevis is set to host the 19th Caribbean Week of Agriculture (CWA 2025) from 29th September to 3rd October, positioning the Federation as the region’s emerging agricultural hub. The week-long event, held under the theme “Sowing Change, Harvesting Resilience: Transforming Our Caribbean Food Systems for 2025 and Beyond,” is expected to draw more than 300 delegates, including policymakers, farmers, innovators, and development partners.

Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Marine Resources, Samal Duggins, hailed the event as a transformative moment for the Federation. “Hosting CWA is a powerful opportunity for St. Kitts and Nevis. It’s our chance to showcase our progress, deepen regional collaboration, and position our Federation at the heart of Caribbean food security and agricultural innovation,” he stated.
CWA 2025 will feature an opening ceremony, technical sessions, a Special Meeting of the Council for Trade and Economic Development on Agriculture, and a dynamic Agriculture Open Day and Marine Expo.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Agriculture has extended the registration deadline for the Open Day and Expo to 26th September, following unprecedented demand from exhibitors and stakeholders. While exhibition spaces have sold out, limited additional 10×10 and 20×20 tent spaces are being made available to ensure broader participation.

This year’s Open Day and Marine Expo carries added significance, coinciding with the hosting of CWA 2025. The event is expected to provide local exhibitors with unmatched opportunities for regional and international visibility, expanded market access, and engagement with thousands of visitors.
Minister Duggins stressed that the Federation’s leadership in hosting CWA aligns with its 25 by 25+5 Agenda, which aims to reduce food imports and strengthen regional food security. “We’re proud to open our doors to the region and show how St. Kitts and Nevis is sowing the seeds of a sustainable, resilient future,” he said.
The Ministry of Agriculture continues to encourage the public and all stakeholders to register for technical sessions and fringe events free of cost via the official CWA 2025 website: https://cwa2025.caricom.org/.
