Guyana Wins Miss Caribbean Culture Pageant

Miss Guyana Shemina Peroune is the newly crowned Miss Caribbean Culture Queen 2023, which was sponsored by the First Federal Credit Union. She won the coveted crown last night, August 8, at the Nevis Cultural Complex.

Miss Guyana amassed 1462 points to secure the title. She captured the Best Interview segment to cement her top position and effectively edge her closest rival.

Miss St. Vincent and the Grenadines Jada Ross was awarded the First Runner-up position. She was judged the most outstanding in the Talent segment. Jada amassed 1454 points, in a tightly contested showdown for the top spot.

Miss St. Thomas USVI Lamonee Morris was adjudged Third Runner-up. She clinched the Best Evening Wear segment en route to a tally of 1423 points.

Miss St. Croix USVI Tatyana Massiah topped the Best Swimwear segment, to round off the winners of the judged segments.

In the non-judged segments, Miss Trinidad and Tobago Chronna Khan was voted Miss Congeniality and Miss Guyana was tapped as Miss Photogenic.

Other contestants in the prestigious pageant were Miss Nevis Shamarley Newton, Miss Dominica Adicia Burton, Miss St. Kitts Shafeyah Guishard and Miss St. Maarten Tasyanna Clifton.
