Basseterre, St. Kitts (SKN SOURCE) — Two brothers have been arrested and charged for the murder of Kevonne Smithen of New Road, St. Kitts.
According to a police statement released on Wednesday (Sept. 20), Danny Blake, 21, and Elvis Blake, 22, both of New Pond Site, St. Kitts, were detained and charged with the murder of the victim, who was working at a petrol station in Basseterre when he was attacked and stabbed numerous times throughout his body on September 11, 2023.
Both men were charged on September 18, 2023, at the Basseterre Police Station.
Smithen’s death takes the total number of individuals murdered in 2023 to 21.
