Basseterre, St. Kitts (SKNSOURCE) — Mr. Delijah Clarke of the Charlestown Secondary School (CSS) and Ms. Adaijah Dore-Roberts of the Gingerland Secondary School (GSS) are the 2023 recipients of the Nevis Cooperative Credit Union Limited’s (NCCU) scholarship.
The scholarships were awarded to Mr. Clarke of the CSS and Ms. Dore-Roberts of the GSS during a brief ceremony on Monday, October 16, in the Ingle Blackett Conference Room.
For the duration of their time at CSS and GSS as well as when they pursue postsecondary education at the Nevis Sixth Form College or Clarence Fitzroy Bryant College in St. Kitts, the NCCU would also provide the students’ financial support for their academic needs.
The scholarship cheques were handed over by NCCU’s Assistant Secretary Mr. Carl Tyson and Mrs. Londy Esdaille, the accounting and finance manager.
Mr. G. Sydney Newton, the general manager of NCCU, Ms. Hazel Chiverton, the chairperson of the supervisory and compliance committee, Ms. Zahvelisia Claxton, the internal auditor, Mr. Ken Williams, the loans manager, and parents and family members of the scholarship recipients were also present at the ceremony for the scholarships, which have been given to 76 students so far.
