Basseterre, St. Kitts (SKNSOURCE) — Prime Minister of St. Kitts and Nevis Hon. Dr. Terrance Drew will lead a delegation to the inaugural Caribbean Community (CARICOM)-Saudi Arabia Summit on November 16, 2023, in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
This historic event brings together leaders from CARICOM and Saudi Arabia to engage in substantive discussions. The summit’s primary focus is on fostering investment and trade in key sectors like infrastructure, hospitality, renewable energy, climate change, and environmental sustainability.
Beyond economic collaboration, the summit aims to strengthen shared principles, encourage people-to-people contact, and celebrate cultural heritage. It represents a significant milestone in deepening ties between CARICOM nations and Saudi Arabia.
The delegation will include the Minister of Foreign Affairs of St. Kitts and Nevis, the Rt. Hon. Dr. Denzil Douglas; Mr. Wakley Daniel, Permanent Secretary in the Premier’s Office of the Nevis Island Administration; Ms. Naeemah Hazelle, Permanent Secretary in the Prime Minister’s Office; Ms. Kaye Bass, Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs; H.E. Larry Vaughan, Ambassador to CARICOM for Saint Kitts and Nevis; and Mrs. Adelcia Connor-Ferlance, Press Secretary to the Prime Minister of Saint Kitts and Nevis.
