St Kitts and Nevis Prime Minister Dr Terrance Drew is set to travel internationally in the coming days to further discussions on funding for a renewable energy project and participate in two panels.
The prime minister announced he will be heading to Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates to further talks with a group that is interested in providing funds for a geothermal power plant.
Drew said this will be his third meeting with the group.
Drew said he will also meet with the royal family to discuss investment opportunities in St Kitts and Nevis.
“Geothermal energy will also be at the centre of our discussions. This holds great promise for our developing nation as a clean source of energy, which will help us to transform into a sustainable island state,” he said.
After leaving the Emirati capital, Drew and his delegation will head to Dubai to participate in a panel on Citizenship by Investment programs.
He said he will discuss how the country’s lucrative program has been repositioned.
The prime minister will leave the Middle East for Miami where he will speak at the Concordia Americas summit, which runs from April 22 to 23.
