Hit and run driver still on the loose

Three days following the fatal hit and run accident that claimed the life of a man, the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force is turning to the public for help.

According to the police, Marlon Francis was struck by a vehicle between 4am and 5am on 28th April, 2024 on Newtown Bay Road in the vicinity of the SOL fuel facility.

While it is unclear who alerted the authorities of Francis’ plight, Emergency Medical Services responded and were on the scene when the police arrived.

Regrettably, shortly after arriving at the Joseph N. France Hospital, the victim succumbed to his injuries.

According to a statement issued by the police, “The Crime Scene Unit of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force processed the scene and collected some items of evidential value.”

They are now appealing to the public to help them solve this crime.

Anyone with knowledge about the accident or the whereabouts of the vehicle that was involved is asked to come forward. The assurance has been given that information shared with the police will be treated as confidential.

“Should anyone have any information about the driver(s) and/or the vehicle(s) involved in this matter, you are urged to contact the nearest Police station or call the Crime Stoppers’ Hotline, 707,” the police appealed.
