DPM Hanley marks 4 years of parliamentary service with week of activities

Parliamentary Representative for Constituency 1, Dr. Geoffrey Hanley is celebrating his fourth year of service to St. Kitts and Nevis as an elected member of the National Assembly with just over a week of activities. 

From 1st – 9th June, 2024 Deputy Prime Minister Hanley has set aside time to both express his thanks for being given the opportunity to serve his people and nation and interact closely with his constituents.

The nine day long activities are being held under the theme, Legacy, Progress Building a Sustainable East Basseterre. 

On Saturday the activities began with the Good Morning East Basseterre and Community Project. A day later on Sunday, Dr. Hanley will worship with his constituents and supporters at the Immaculate Conception Co-Cathedral. 

The activities continue on 3rd June when senior citizens resident in Constituency 1 will be treated to lunch at the Newtown Community Centre. 

On 4th June. Dr. Hanley will host a national constituency walk through which will be followed by a “grill and chill” social event. 

The former educator who now serves as the federation’s Minister of Education has carved out time for the children who attend school in his area on 5th June. Beginning at 9am he will tour six primary and secondary public and private schools.

A workers’ appreciation day has been scheduled for 6th June followed by another social evening – Park and View movie night – on 7th June. A bar stop in the constituency is planned for Saturday 8th June. 

The activities conclude on 9th June with a family fun day that will include an exhibition football match that will see the Prime Minister’s XI face off against the Deputy Prime Minister’s XI.
