Two Charged in Separate Criminal Cases in St. Kitts

Authorities in St. Kitts have laid charges in two separate criminal cases, reinforcing ongoing efforts to address crime in the Federation.

Steadroy Jules of St. Paul’s has been charged with multiple offences, including Conveying Cannabis into His Majesty’s Prison, Conveying Wrappers into His Majesty’s Prison, and Conveying Tobacco into His Majesty’s Prison.

The offences occurred on 3rd January 2025 at His Majesty’s Prison in Basseterre. Jules was formally charged on 5th January 2025 at the Basseterre Police Station.

In a separate case, Dequan Dore of East Street, Newtown, has been charged with Possession of Firearm with Intent to Endanger Life. The offence took place on 2nd January 2025 in Newtown, and Dore was charged on 4th January 2025 at the Basseterre Police Station.

Both incidents underscore the vigilance of law enforcement in St. Kitts and the commitment to ensuring public safety.

Authorities have not yet disclosed additional details about the cases, but the charges highlight the Federation’s ongoing efforts to address criminal activity and maintain order.
