Better Opportunity Fair #3 Set to Empower and Entertain in Sandy Point

The highly anticipated Better Opportunity Fair #3 will take place on Saturday, 16th August 2025, at the Sandy Point Hard Court from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., promising a dynamic blend of empowerment, resources, and family entertainment. Organised under the Citizen Security Secretariat (CSS), the event continues its mission to connect residents with opportunities for personal and professional growth while fostering community unity.

The third fair in the series of four will feature a wide range of information booths, including the UWI Open Campus, MASA, Elevate, Rotary Club, Inland Revenue Department, Aspire, the Ministry of Social Development, and health screening services, with more organisations to be confirmed. Attendees will have the chance to explore educational programmes, financial services, wellness checks, and community initiatives aimed at improving quality of life.

Adding to the festive atmosphere, the fair will also include bounce castles and other family-friendly activities, making it a perfect outing for all ages. Queens Quick Bites will be on-site offering delicious meals and refreshments, ensuring visitors can enjoy a full day of fun and learning.

Entertainment will be headlined by Ronnie Rascal, who will bring high-energy music to keep the event vibrant throughout the day.

The organisers have expressed their gratitude to the event’s sponsors, Vallie’s Tent Rental Services and Island Electronics, for their support in making the fair possible.

Eartha Carey, Coordinator of CSS, underscored the success of the first two fairs and importance of moving the event into the country’s rural areas.

“The success of our events in Basseterre has shown us how deeply people value access to opportunities and resources,” said Carey. “By bringing the Better Opportunity Fair to communities outside the capital, we are ensuring that every corner of the Federation — from the heart of the city to rural towns and villages — benefits equally. Our aim is to bridge gaps, empower individuals, and make sure that no one is left out of the journey toward a safer, more prosperous St. Kitts and Nevis.”

According to the organisers, the Better Opportunity Fair series is a platform for empowerment, connection, and inspiration, bringing together key stakeholders to promote safer and stronger communities in St. Kitts and Nevis.

The final fair in the series is now being finalised, however the Citizen Security Secretariat has confirmed that it will take place at the end of August in Saddlers. Additional details on the highly anticipated final fair will be disclosed in the coming days.
