Police are investigating a double homicide in the Basseterre area, that occurred earlier today, June 5. The victims, one female, and one male, have not yet been publicly identified.
According to Police sources, the double homicide occurred between 11 and 11:30 a.m., on Rectory Road, close to Market Street.
This is an active investigation and more details will be provided shortly.
This is the second murder in a six-week period in that particular area. However, there is no evidence at this point to suggest that both incidents are connected.
