Multiple Arrests, Convictions as Crime Crackdown Continues

Law enforcement authorities in St. Kitts and Nevis have laid multiple criminal charges in a series of recent incidents involving drugs, firearms, and fraud, reflecting continued efforts by the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force to clamp down on serious offences.

In Nevis, five drug-related charges have been filed against Lejae Lagore of Pot Works. According to police, Lagore was formally charged at the Cotton Ground Police Station on 1st July, 2025. The charges include:

  • Possession of Cannabis with Intent to Supply
  • Possession of Cocaine
  • Possession of Cocaine with Intent to Supply
  • Possession of a Controlled Drug, namely Methylenedioxymethamphetamine (Ecstasy)
  • Possession of a Controlled Drug with Intent to Supply, to wit Methylenedioxymethamphetamine (Ecstasy)

Police have not yet disclosed the quantities of the substances seized or whether additional arrests are anticipated in connection to the case. The investigation remains active.

On St. Kitts, 35-year-old Allister Forde of Godwin Ghaut faces serious firearm-related charges stemming from an incident on 2nd July, 2025, that left one man injured. Mr. Forde has been charged with:

  • Possession of Firearm
  • Possession of Firearm with Intent
  • Discharging a Loaded Firearm within Forty Yards of a Public Road

The charges follow a shooting in Godwin Ghaut that resulted in the injury of 37-year-old Bradley Marsham. Forde was arrested and charged on 5th July at the Basseterre Police Station. Police have not released further details on the condition of Marsham, but investigations are ongoing.

In a separate matter, 28-year-old Kuame Mayers of Pine Garden, Shadwell, has been charged with Obtaining Money Under False Pretences. He was formally charged on 4th July, 2025, at the Basseterre Police Station. The circumstances surrounding the alleged fraudulent transaction have not been disclosed, but police confirmed that the case is being actively pursued.

Additionally, Juniqua Lloyd-Saddler of Newton Ground has been sentenced in relation to two counts of larceny by servant, committed on 26th June, 2022, and 17th January, 2023. On 4th July, 2025, at the High Court in Basseterre, His Lordship Justice Iain Morley, KC, imposed a 14-month prison sentence, suspended for 12 months. Lloyd-Saddler was also fined EC $16,100, payable to Unicomer within 14 days. Failure to pay will result in six months of imprisonment. The case highlights the serious legal consequences for breaches of trust in the workplace.

The Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force has reiterated its commitment to pursuing all leads and ensuring public safety. Residents are encouraged to report any suspicious activity to their nearest police station or contact the crime hotline anonymously.
